'Cuse All Over D-League

Seven former Syracuse standouts made significant contributions during the 2012-13 NBA Developmental League regular season. Four of the six helped lead their respective teams into the D-League postseason.
Paul Harris starred for the Iowa Energy. Harris averaged 16.9 points and 8.8 rebounds over 47 regular-season games. Harris was a 1,000-point scorer for the Orange between 2006-09.
Rick Jackson was a regular with the Austin Toros, a club that is still alive in the NBA D-League play-offs. Jackson averaged a double-double during the regular campaign (10.8 ppg., 10.0 rpg.) and saw action in 48 games. He had 17 rebounds in a first-round play-off win against Bakersfield. Jackson finished his 'Cuse career in 2011 and still ranks tied for 38th in career scoring.
Kris Joseph earned a call-up to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets after performing well for Maine and then Springfield. He averaged 18.6 points a game in 27 contests. Joseph was with the Orange from 2008-12 and still ranks 26th in career scoring at SU (1,476).
Fab Melo played in 33 games for the Maine Red Claws. He averaged 9.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game during the regular season. Maine earned a play-off spot but was eliminated from the postseason by the Rio Grande Valley. Melo set an SU record for single-game blocked shots in his one season with the Orange, in 2011-12.
Demetris Nichols is the most experienced of the former Orange performers in the D-League. He accumulated 1,344 career points at Syracuse from 2007-12. Nichols logged 49 games wih the Sioux Falls Skyforce and averaged 18.7 points and 5.4 boards.
Arinze Onuaku, the third Syracuse postman of the bunch, produced 12.6 points and 9.5 rebounds over 38 games for the Canton Charge. The Charge were eliminated from the play-offs by the Tulsa 66ers. Onuaku, scored 1,232 points at Syracuse between 2005-10.
Long-distance sharpshooter Andy Rautins aveaged 13.5 points in 48 outings with Tulsa. He converted .437 of his 3-point shots during the regula season. The 66ers have advanced to the second round of the playoffs and play Santa Cruz.
