Kobelt and Rodgers Earn All-BIG EAST

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior Maddie Kobelt and sophomore Amanda Rodgers have both been named to the 12-member All-BIG EAST Tennis Team, as announced by the conference this afternoon.
Both Kobelt and Rodgers led the team with impressive singles and doubles records from the top positions, helping the Orange to a fifth place finish in the league.
Kobelt played to a singles record of 13-3 and a doubles mark of 9-5 with partner Brittany Lashway.
Rodgers, the two-time BIG EAST Player of the Week, concluded the season with a team-high 16-5 record in singles play and 14-1 mark in doubles competition with sophomore Komal Safdar.
Syracuse will now wait to see if it earns a spot in the upcoming NCAA Tournament, which will be hosted in Urbana, Ill. May 16-27, 2013.
