After placing four teams in the Final Four and eight in the postseason, Syracuse Athletics has entered the top 25 of the NACDA Directors' Cup Spring Standings for the first time in school history. The NACDA Directors' Cup recognizes collegiate athletics programs that maintain a broad-based program achieving success in many sports. Syracuse has a school-record 533 points, breaking last year's program-best of 452.5.
"Reaching the Top-25 is a credit to our coaches, student-athletes and fans who are 'all in' in helping us build a broad-based athletics program at Syracuse University that pursues excellence across all sports," said Director of Athletics Dr. Daryl Gross. "We have been climbing steadily for several years, and we are thrilled to reach the top 25 at this point in the year. Our challenge now as we move to the ACC is to continue to achieve and score even higher."
The four programs to reach the final four were women's field hockey, men's basketball and women's and men's lacrosse, while men's soccer, men's cross country and women's basketball all earned invitations to the NCAA Tournament and the football team won the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.
