Lawrence Moten, the all-time leading scorer in Syracuse basketball history, will attend an SU alumni event in New York City on Saturday, June 15, from 5-to-9 p.m. The outing is scheduled for a local pub called Stout.
Moten will be arriving after completing his coaching duties with New York City Basketball City.
He is still the all-time leading scorer at SU, having accumulated 2,334 points in four seaons between 1991-92 and 1994-95. Moten's highest scoring campaign came in 1993-94 when he averaged 21.5 points per outing. He was a first-team All-BIG EAST selection three times and was the league's Rookie of the Year in 1991-92.
Moten attended a similar gathering in Los Angeles with Syraucse alumni. Former players Brandon Triche and Stephen Thompson also participated. It was conducted at the SU in LA campus.
