For the second consecutive outing, former Orange forward Donte Greene had a solid performance to help lead the 21st-seeded Memphis Grizzlies to a 90-83 upset over the 12th-seeded Washington Wizards in the first round of the 2013 NBA Summer League tournament on July 17 in Las Vegas.
Greene followed up Tuesday's game-high 18 points with 16 points on 7-of-15 shooting and four rebounds. The Grizzlies, who picked up their first win of the NBA's Las Vegas Summer League, will meet another former SU standout, Brandon Triche, and the Charlotte Bobcats in the second round on July 18.
Through four games, Greene is third on the team in scoring (9.8 points per game) and fourth in rebounding (3.5 rebounds per game). He is averaging 17 points and five rebounds in Memphis' last two contests.
