SYRACUSE, NY – Binghamton returns to the Carrier Dome for the first time since 2004 when Syracuse hosts the Bearcats on December 7, 2013.
The two Central New York basketball programs played four consecutive seasons – from 2001-2002 to 2004-2005 –- and Syracuse won all four outings.
Binghamton coach Tommy Dempsey is in his second season as head coach. His staff includes former Syracuse standout Lazarus Sims.
The Bearcats were 3-27 overall and 1-15 in the American East last season. Sophomore guard Jordan Reed (16.6 ppg., 9.5 rpg.) and senior guard Rayner Moquete (8.6 ppg.) are two of the top returning performers for the Bearcats.
SU has posted back-to-back 30-win seasons for the first time in school history. The Orange finished 34-3 and in the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight in 2011-12 and followed that up with a Final Four appearance and 30-10 mark last year.
