Mock Added to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

Kasey Mock is one five additions to the women's Watch List.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Syracuse senior Kasey Mock has been added to the 2014 Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The second-round additions were announced by the Tewaaraton Award Foundation on Thursday, April 10. She joins teammates Alyssa Murray, Katie Webster and Kayla Treanor on the list, which includes the top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlights the early contenders for the Tewaaraton Award.
Mock has started all 13 games this season. The defender leads the team and ranks second in the ACC in caused turnovers (19). She also leads the squad with 22 ground balls to go along with two draw controls. Mock has helped Syracuse's defense hold its opponents to less than 10 goals in eight games this season.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the nation. The field will be narrowed to 25 men's and women's nominees on April 24. Five men's and women's finalists will be announced on May 8 and will be invited to the May 29 ceremony in Washington.
Mock and the third-ranked Orange (12-1) host defending national champion and No. 1-ranked North Carolina (12-1) on Saturday, April 12. Opening draw is set for 3 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Tickets for the game can be purchased online at Cuse.com and at the Carrier Dome Box Office located at Gate B.
