Tennis Achieves Best Ranking in Program History

Orange Sit at No. 34 in Latest ITA Poll
The Syracuse tennis team moved up to its highest ranking in program history this week, jumping to No. 34 in the latest ITA poll.
"It's nice to see these girls' hard work paying off," said head coach Younes Limam. "They give it their all day in and day out. At the same time, there is a lot of tennis to be played and the ranking that matters the most is the final one in May."
It was the first computer poll of the 2015 season, and the Orange jumped 25 spots from its previous rank of 59.
The Orange's previous best ranking was No. 39 on Feb. 28, 2012.
Syracuse sits at 5-3 on the season and is looking for its first ACC win of the 2015 campaign when the Orange takes on No. 26 Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana on Friday at 3:30 p.m., before returning home for its first conference home match against Pitt on Sunday.
The Pitt match is scheduled to get underway at 11 a.m. and free pizza will be provided to all spectators, as well as free t-shirts and pom-poms for the first 20 people through the door.
