Associated Press Names Christmas All-American

Rakeem Christmas has earned a spot on the prestigious 2014-15 Associated Press (AP) All-America Team. The Syracuse center and graduate student was named a third-team All-Ameican by the AP.
Christmas has already been named to All-America teams by USA Today and Sporting News. He was also selected to the Lute Olson All-America squad.
He led the Orange in scoring (17.5), rebounding (9.1) and blocked-shots (2.5) averages. He started all 31 games for the Orange in 2014-15 and ended up with the first string in 140-of-142 career games.
Christmas scored in double digits in 29-of-31 games in his final season with the Orange. He topped the Orange with 11 double-doubles.
The voting was done by a 65-member media panel.
