Hamilton and Mullins Named Scholar-Athletes of the Week

Syracuse rower Georgia Hamilton, and men's lacrosse's Brandon Mullins are the Syracuse scholar-athletes of the week.
Hamilton, a 2014 Pocock All-American and a CRCA South First Team All-Region, is triple-majoring in global political economy, international relations and policy studies. A CRCA National Scholar-Athlete last season and selection to the All-ACC First Team last year, the senior will lead the 'Cuse rowing team into its spring opener this weekend in Clemson, S.C.
Mullins, an Inside Lacrosse Preseason First Team All-American and Preseason All-ACC selection, Mullins has five caused turnovers and three ground balls to help the No. 1 ranked Orange to a 5-0 start. He's majoring in accounting and finance. A redshirt-junior, Mullins ranks sixth on Syracuse's all-time caused turnovers list with 36. Mullins and the Orange renew their rivalry with John's Hopkins on Saturday.
'Cuse will welcome the Blue Jays to the Carrier Dome at 2 p.m. on Saturday, while the rowing team also takes the water against Boston and Clemson that same day.
