Orange Fan Fest is Saturday!

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It is finally here! Orange Fan Fest is this Saturday, Aug. 15. The event features a unique Orange doubleheader with the 15th-ranked Syracuse men's soccer team hosting an exhibition game against third-ranked Georgetown at 4 p.m., followed by the Orange football team's annual preseason camp practice and scrimmage at 6:15 p.m. in the SU Soccer Stadium. The event begins at 3 p.m.
Admission is free and complimentary parking is available in Manley North and South lots. All football season ticket holders are invited to enjoy multiple perks, including a complimentary barbecue with fellow season ticket holders from 3 to 6 p.m. (pre-registration is required) , tours of the newly-renovated Iocolano-Petty Football Wing and a special roped-off viewing area on the sideline for the football practice. In addition, all children of season ticket holders (12 & under) are invited to form a fan tunnel to welcome the team on the field.
Fan Fest will also feature food and refreshments, prizes, in addition to men's soccer and football action at the stadium, which is located on the East Colvin Street side of Manley Field House. All fans will have an opportunity to register to win prizes, including two seats in the Athletics Department Suite for a 2015 home game. There will be the opportunity to purchase new season tickets, mini-packs and individual game tickets, as well.
At Wohl Field, Syracuse's volleyball and women's soccer student-athletes will conduct interactive activities, inflatable bouncers for kids and a merchandise trailer will be set up, and the men's soccer team will host an autograph session following its exhibition. All 'Cuse fans will have an opportunity to try on a 2015 Orange football uniform inside the Ensley Athletic Center and take photos with former Syracuse football standouts on the plaza outside of the Ensley Center. In addition, the Orange field hockey team will hold an open practice at Coyne Stadium during the event.
Following the football scrimmage, fans are invited to join the team on the field for selfie stations with their favorite student-athletes and coaches.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
Syracuse opens the 2015 season at home on Friday, Sept. 4 against Rhode Island. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Carrier Dome. Season tickets and individual game tickets are available online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). In addition, discounted group tickets (20 or more) for all home games can be purchased by calling 315-443-3212.
