Gbinije Bound For 2016 Olympics

Syracuse guard Michael Gbinije has earned a spot in the 2016 Olympics in Rio as a member of the NIgeria National Team. Nigeria defeated Tunisia, 74-65, in the finals of the AfroBasket Tournament. The winning squad automatically qualified for the Olympics.
Its the first AfroBasket title for Nigeria. Gbinije contributed to the victory with five points and three rebounds.
Gbinije was eligible to participate for Nigeria because his father, Frank Gbinije, is a native of Nigeria.
With the completion of the AfroBasket Tournament, Gbinije now returns to Syracuse University for his senior season.
