Orange Meet the Media

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse men's basketball team held its annual media day on Friday in the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center. Following the event, the Orange will head to the Carrier Dome for Orange Madness.

Hall of Fame head coach Jim Boeheim held his annual session with the media to talk about the 2016-17 campaign. He answered questions from the media about the team's depth and the impact the newcomers will have this season.

Graduate student DaJuan Coleman and senior Tyler Roberson highlight the group of returners to this year's squad. Both were starters on last year's team that made the program's sixth appearance in the Final Four. Sophomores Franklin Howard and Tyler Lydon were also key contributors to last year's success. Newcomers Andrew White, John Gillon, Tyus Battle, Matthew Moyer and Taurean Thompson took part in the event for the first time as they will make their Orange debuts next month, as will Paschal Chukwu, who sat out last season after transferring from Providence.

Fans can get their first look at the 2016-17 Orange on Tuesday, Nov. 1 when they host Indiana University (Pa.) in the first of two exhibition games. Tickets for the game can be purchased online (Cuse.com), by phone through Ticketmaster at 888-DOMETIX (888-366-3849) or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B).
