
Syracuse-Virginia Tech Game Time Announced

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The football game between Syracuse and Virginia Tech on Saturday, Oct. 15 will kick off at 3:45 p.m. inside the Carrier Dome and be televised to a national audience on ESPNU, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced today.
The game will be the first meeting in more than a decade for the former BIG EAST Conference rivals. The Orange and Hokies last played in 2003. Syracuse owns a 9-8 advantage in the all-time series, including a 7-2 home mark.
The Orange are currently 2-3 and travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. this Saturday for a night clash with Wake Forest. Â The Hokies are 3-1 and ranked 25th in this week's Associated Press Top 25. Virginia Tech owns a 3-1 record and will also pay a visit to the Tar Heel State this weekend for a matchup with No. 17 North Carolina.
Syracuse Athletics will celebrate 'Cheer and Dance Day' when the Hokies come to town next week. The Syracuse University Cheerleaders and Lady Orange Dancers will host a clinic on the Quad before the game. The first 300 participants to sign up will have the opportunity to join the Orange spirit squads on the field at halftime. Participants will receive pom-poms and a free 'Cheer and Dance Day' t-shirt.
Tickets for Virginia Tech, as well as SU's remaining home games versus North Carolina State (Nov. 12) and Florida State (Nov. 19), are available online, by phone (888-DOMETIX), at Destiny USA kiosks and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B).
