
Shkudun Named To All-ACC Team

GREENSBORO, N.C.-Â Graduate student Anna Shkudun of the Syracuse women's tennis team was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Second Team, the conference office announced on Thursday afternoon.Â
Shkudun currently ranks as the No. 62 singles player in the nation, donning an 11-9 record as the first overall singles player for the Orange.Â
Since coming to Syracuse, Shkudun has helped lead the Orange to their highest rank in program history at No. 24. The Orange also earned an ACC first-round bye for the first time in program history, heading into the tournament ranked No. 27 overall.Â
Signature wins this season for Shkudun include victories over No. 45 Francesca Fusinato of Virginia Tech, No. 48 Quinn Gleason of Notre Dame and No. 101 Lexi Borr of Boston College.
Shkudun and Syracuse seek an NCAA Tournament team bid for the first time in program history.Â
