After a dominating victory over Binghamton on Wednesday, the Syracuse lacrosse team (8-4) remained No. 8 in the NIKE/USILA Coaches Poll, and moved up one spot to No. 7 in the Cascade/Maverik Media Poll heading into this weekend's ACC Tournament.
The Orange, which will be the No. 4 seed in the tournament, is the second-highest ranked team, behind second-seed Notre Dame, which is No. 4 in both polls.
After the Fighting Irish fell to North Carolina, Denver moved up to No. 1 in both polls, headlining the USILA poll with 334 points and 11 first-place votes. Brown, which will also travel to Kennesaw, Georgia this weekend to take part in the ACC/Brown Challenge against Virginia, sits in second with 318 points and five first-place votes.
Maryland ranks third, up two spots this week, holding 306 points and one first-place vote.
Notre Dame (285), Albany (283), Yale (247) and Navy (204) make up the other-four spots ahead of 'Cuse, which owns 186 points in this week's poll.
