Orange Collect ACC Honor Roll Accolades

Syracuse has 278 student-athletes recognized
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The 2015-16 Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll was announced on Thursday morning, with 278 Syracuse University student-athletes collecting accolades. It marks the most Orange student-athletes recognized in the school's tenure in the league. (Syracuse honorees)
The ACC Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a 3.0 grade point average or better for the academic year. 4,378 student-athletes from the 15 member institutions notched ACC Honor Roll plaudits, the most in conference history.
Earlier this year, cross country student-athlete Martin Hehir and lacrosse student-athlete Kayla Treanor won the ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards for their sport.
This is the 60th straight year that the ACC has recognized academic excellence among its membership's student-athletes.
The 2015-16 academic year was certainly the most successful in the history of Syracuse athletics. The Orange placed 21st in the NACDA Learfield Division I Directors' Cup, their best finish in school history. Men's cross country and field hockey both collected national titles and six total Syracuse teams advanced to the national semifinals.
