Barber wins MLL Championship with Denver Outlaws

Syracuse lacrosse standout Tim Barber added another trophy to his collection on Saturday, when he and the Denver Outlaws came back to defeat the Ohio Machine in the Major League Lacrosse title game in Kennesaw, Georgia.
The game featured nearly two hours of a lightning delay on a sopping wet fifth third bank stadium field, something Barber knew all too well after the ACC men's lacrosse championship game experienced nearly four hours of delay at the same stadium in April. Just like in April, it was all Barber's squad after the restart of play, erasing a large deficit with the help of a 7-0 third quarter run to defeat the Machine 19-18.
Barber saw action as a reserve attackman for the Outlaws after being selected by them in the MLL rookie draft this winter.
