
Celebrate 'Cuse Basketball at Preferred Mutual Orange Madness 2016

Orange Nation is invited to celebrate the start of the Syracuse Basketball season at Preferred Mutual Orange Madness 2016 on Friday, October 21 at the Carrier Dome. The event will feature an introduction to the 2016-17 men's and women's basketball teams, a celebration of the historic 2016 Final Four runs made by each team, intra-squad scrimmages, and selfie-stations with student-athletes and coaches following the basketball action. ESPN college basketball analyst Seth Greenberg and Voice of the Orange Matt Park will host the event.

Head coach Jim Boeheim and the Orange are coming off their second Final Four appearance in four years with a talented squad set to take the court in 2016-17. DaJuan Coleman, Tyler Lydon and Tyler Roberson are back to form a solid frontcourt. In the backcourt, Frank Howard will be joined by stand out transfers John Gillon (Colorado State) and Andrew White III (Nebraska). Fans will also get a first look as talented freshmen Tyus Battle, Taurean Thompson and Matthew Moyer have their first opportunity to play on Jim Boeheim Court.

Syracuse women's head coach Quentin Hillsman and his Orange are poised for another spectacular season after making their first appearance in the National Championship game last year. Two-time all-conference honoree Alexis Peterson and Brittney Skykes will look to lead the way in their final year on campus. The duo is joined by veterans Isabella Slim and the Day sisters, Bria and Briana.

Orange Madness begins at 7 pm. Carrier Dome gates A, B, C, D, E and F will open at 5:30 pm. Parking will be available, at no charge, in Carrier Dome West and Manley Field House parking lots. A shuttle service will run from the Manley Field House lots beginning at 4:30 pm.

Tickets for the event will be available to the general public on Thursday, Sept. 29Â at 10 am for $5. Tickets can be purchased online at www.Cuse.com/tickets or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office.
All students will be provided free entrance into Orange Madness by showing their SU or ESF student ID at Gate E. Â
