Boeheim Foundation Provides Dome Sensory Safety Kits
1/12/2017 3:32:00 PM | Men's Basketball
The Jim & Juli Boeheim Foundation and KultureCity, are teaming up to bring Sensory Safety Bags to the Dome. Individuals with Autism, Dementia, Traumatic Brain Injury and various sensory challenges will now be able to enjoy all Dome events with the complimentary use of the Friendly Access kits, which are now available at Guest Services. The Dome is the first venue of its size in the United States to offer sensory accommodations to its patrons.
Loud noises and bright lights can make it difficult or confusing for certain individuals to enjoy events. Sensory Safety Bags are designed to support individuals of all ages, with a variety of sensory needs, and their families at sporting events and concerts alike.
The Sensory Safety Bag is packaged in an orange drawstring bag containing an assortment of useful tools (noise reducing ear covers & ear plugs, antiglare glasses, small "fidget" toy, communication card, sanitizing wipes & tissues, I.D. wristbands, stickers and card) to help individuals enjoy an event with greater comfort. For more information regarding the kit and availability, please contact the Dome Management Office at 315-443-4634.
The Sensory Safety Bags are available upon request at the Guest Services booth located at Section 107 of the Dome. More information is avaliable here
