- Sophomore Tyus Battle and freshman Oshae Brissett each totaled career-highs with 29 and 25 points, respectively. Junior Frank Howard added 19 points with nine assists and Brissett grabbed 14 rebounds to record his fifth double-double of the campaign. Brissett was named the ACC Rookie of the Week for his performance.
- Saturday's game marks the 33rd all-time meeting between Syracuse and Buffalo. The Orange own a 27-5 lead in the series between the in-state foes and are looking for their 18th straight victory over the Bulls. This is the first meeting between the two schools since the 2001-02 season.
