Football Announces 2017 Spring Schedule

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Orange football fans are invited to take an up-close look at this year's team during the 2017 Syracuse Football Spring Showcase on Saturday, April 22. Start time is 10 a.m. at the Carrier Dome. Admission and parking are free.

The event, which marks the culmination of the Orange's spring practice season, will feature a scrimmage, youth clinic and autograph session. Prior to the showcase, second-year head coach Dino Babers will hold 14 practices over a span of five weeks beginning on March 21.

During the showcase, fans are invited to select their seats to watch the team in action this fall. Various sections of the Dome will be marked and fans will be able to preview different vantage points before purchasing 2017 season tickets, which are on sale now online and by phone (888-DOME-TIX). Tickets start at $125, a savings of more than 15 percent compared to single-game prices.

Individual game tickets, prices, theme days and promotions will be announced at a later date. An exclusive pre-sale for Orange Club members to buy single-game tickets is expected to begin in late April. Group ticket packages (15 or more) will be available soon.

The 2017 schedule features seven home dates, including Atlantic Coast Conference matchups with Pittsburgh (Oct. 7), Clemson (Oct. 13), Wake Forest (Nov. 11) and Boston College (Nov. 25).

SU returns 19 of 22 offensive and defensive starters from Babers' inaugural squad. The Orange set or tied more than 40 offensive records in his first season and had six players receive All-ACC honors.

On defense, the Orange brings back 13 of their 14 leading tacklers, including their top six. Syracuse also returns 94 percent of its total offense, four of its top six receivers, and better than 96 percent of its rushing yardage, including its top three ball carriers.
