Orange Stay #6 in Maverik Media Poll

This week's opponent moves to No. 12
After a dominant 19-6 win over Siena in the season opener, the Syracuse men's lacrosse team remained No. 6 in the Maverik Media Poll, while this week's opponent Albany moved up one spot to No. 12.
'Cuse received 447 points in the poll, just behind new No. 5 Johns Hopkins, who received 453. Denver moved up to the No. 1 spot, collecting 568 points and 11 first place votes. Maryland sits in second with 564 points (six first place votes), while ACC squads North Carolina (562 points/13 first place votes) and Notre Dame (480 points) rank third and fourth respectively.

In addition to North Carolina, Notre Dame, Hopkins and Albany, 'Cuse opponents Virginia (No. 8) and Duke (No. 15) currently rank in the top-20, while Army and Cornell also receive votes in the poll.
The USILA Coaches Poll will be released Monday afternoon.
