'Cuse Up to #6 in Media Poll

After their thrilling five-goal comeback win over No. 11 Virginia, the Orange jumped back to No. 6 in the Maverik Media Poll this week.
Syracuse (3-1, 1-0 ACC) is the third-highest ranked team in the ACC, with Notre Dame serving as the unanimous No. 1 after collecting 660 points and 33 first-place votes. Maryland (611 points), Penn State (566 points), North Carolina (557 points) and Denver (523 points) round out the top-five ahead of SU, which garnered 549 points.
'Cuse has several 2017 opponents represented in the poll in addition to Notre Dame and North Carolina. No. 7 Johns Hopkins and No. 18 Duke are also on the Orange's slate this season. Past Syracuse opponents Virginia, Albany and Army sit in 11th through 13th, respectively.
'Cuse hits the road for the first time this season to face St. John's on Saturday at 1 p.m. in a game that will be broadcast on ESPN3, TK99/105 and WAER.
