Rowbotham, Johnson Named Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Daniel Rowbotham of the men's rowing team and Kelsey Johnson of the softball team are this week's Syracuse Scholar-Athletes of the Week.
Rowbotham is a marketing management major in the Whitman School of Management.
The Seattle, Wash. native was a member of the third varsity eight crew in the final two races of the 2015 season. From the third seat, he led the crew to a top-15 finish at the 2016 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championship Regatta.
Rowbotham and the men's rowing team begin the 2017 season on Saturday, April 8 in Skokie, Illinois against Wisconsin.
Johnson is a communications and rhetorical studies major in the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
The Greece, N.Y. native has played 27 games in the outfield for the Orange this season. Earlier in the season, she had a run against Morgan State and went 2-for-4 against Central Michigan.
Johnson and the softball team will host Binghamton on Wednesday for a mid-week game and will host No. 1 Florida State this weekend for a three-game series at Skytop Softball Stadium.
