4/7/2017 2:57:00 PM | Men's Lacrosse
Orange midfielder Nick Mariano collected another set of national honors this week following back-to-back four goal efforts in wins over previous No. 1 Notre Dame and longtime rival Hobart.
After Mariano was named ACC Player of the Week on Monday, USILA National Player of the Week on Wednesday, he continued to rack up the awards on Friday when the Baltimore Sun named him their National Player of the Week.
Mariano started the week on Saturday, with four goals – including the two deciding goals in the fourth quarter – against the Fighting Irish. He then tied his career-high with seven points (4-3) against Hobart in a 7-11 victory to retain the Kraus-Simmons Trophy.
Mariano and the Orange will resume play with another longtime in-state rival on Tuesday, when 'Cuse hosts Cornell.
