Mariano Selected in NLL Draft

Syracuse alum and star midfielder Nick Mariano was selected 37th overall by New England in the National Lacrosse League entry draft last night.
Mariano, who concluded his 2017 season at Syracuse with All-America honors, was selected in the first round of the Major League Lacrosse draft in May and played his first professional season with the Florida Launch.
A 50-point scorer for the Orange in 2017, who led the team with 34 goals, Mariano earned USILA First Team All-America honors after his senior season.
Mariano is the first Orange player drafted in the indoor league since Randy Staats was taken sixth overall in 2015 by Georgia.
