SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse puts its four-game winning streak on the line when it welcomes former BIG EAST foe Georgetown to the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Dec. 8. The game will tip off at 3:30 p.m.

PREGAME ACTIVITIES
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and visit the backcourt area. The 'Cuse Concert Series starts Saturday as My So-Called Band, a four-piece 90's cover band, will play in the northeast corner of the Dome from 1:45-2:45. In addition, members of the Orange football squad will be signing autographs in the backcourt. The team will also be honored at halftime.

ORANGE UPDATE
The Orange defeated Northeastern, 72-49, when the teams faced off on Dec. 4. It continued Syracuse's undefeated record against the Huskies. Sophomore Oshae Brissett led the Orange in both points (21) and rebounds (14). It marked his 15th career double-double and his second of the season. He also tied his career high in rebounds, a mark that he has reached twice before. Redshirt junior Elijah Hughes and freshman Buddy Boeheim also reached double figures in scoring, with 17 and 11, respectively.

SCOUTING THE HOYAS
Georgetown took down Liberty in an 88-78 win on Dec. 3. The Hoyas continued their own hot streak, as they are also carrying a four-game win streak into Saturday's matchup.

Georgetown is led by senior center Jessie Govan, who leads the team with 19.5 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game. He is one of three starters returning to the Hoyas this year. Freshman guard James Akinjo has made a name for himself early on, averaging 14.1 points and 7.8 assists per game.

Patrick Ewing is in his second year at the helm of the Hoyas program. Last season, he led the team to a 15-15 record but the squad lost in the first round of the BIG EAST tournament. Ewing graduated from Georgetown before going on to a 17-year playing career in the NBA.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's game marks the 94th time that Syracuse has faced Georgetown, good enough for sixth on the list of SU's all-time familiar foes. The Orange currently hold the edge in the all-time series, leading 50-43. The two teams met last season when Syracuse recorded an 86-79 OT victory. Tyus Battle scored 29 points, while Govan led the Hoyas with 21.
