Top-10 Showdown Set for Saturday
Following its resounding season-opening win over Binghamton, the Syracuse men's lacrosse teams vaulted up in both polls, setting up a top-10 showdown in the Carrier Dome on Saturday.
The Orange moved up two spots to No. 8 in the USILA Coaches Poll, and up four spots to No. 7 in the Maverik Media Poll. Syracuse is set to take on No. 3 Albany at 2 p.m. in the Dome on Saturday.

In the USILA Poll, the Blue Devils checked in with 352 points and 11 of the 18 first-place votes. Maryland (336/seven first-place votes) ranks second, followed by Saturday's opponent Albany (313). Denver (304) and Yale (282) round out the top-five. The Orange collected 228 points in the poll, five behind No. 7 Notre Dame.
In addition to the Great Danes, 'Cuse is slated to face No. 1 Duke, No. 7 Notre Dame, No. 9 Johns Hopkins, No. 10 Rutgers, No. 11 Virginia, No. 12 Army, No. 13 North Carolina and Cornell, who is receiving votes in its 2018 slate.
In the Maverik Media Poll, Duke headlines that with 19 of the 32 first-place votes and 621 points. Maryland (595/nine first-place votes), Denver (448/one first-place vote), Albany (544/three first-place votes) and Yale (531) round out the top-five. Syracuse collected 399 points.
In 2018, the Orange will square off with No. 1 Duke, No. 4 Albany, No. 8 Johns Hopkins, No. 9 Notre Dame, No. 10 Virginia, No. 11 Rutgers, No. 13 Army, No. 14 North Carolina and Cornell and Navy who are receiving votes.
Twelve different players scored in the season-opening win for the Orange, which downed Binghamton 21-4. It was the largest margin of victory since 2009.
Faceoff is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, when No. 3 Albany comes to town. The game will be televised on ACC Network Extra.

Season tickets remain the best value for 'Cuse fans, at a cost of $65 for adults and $35 for youth, fans will get to see all nine Syracuse home games from the reserved section behind the team bench.
New for 2018, parking prices are reduced to $10 at all Carrier Dome surface lots. Individual game tickets start at $10 for adults and $5 for youth (12 and under) for six of the Orange's nine games (North Carolina, Navy, Binghamton, Army West Point, Hobart and Colgate). Ticket for the Orange's three premium games (Johns Hopkins, Albany and Notre Dame) cost $15 for adults and $10 for youth (12 and under) and students are free!
