After a road upset of No. 3 Duke, the Syracuse men's lacrosse team (4-3, 2-0 ACC), are back in the top-10 of the USILA Coaches Poll.
The Orange jumped four spots to No. 9, before hosting No. 6 Notre Dame in the Carrier Dome on Saturday. That matchup will be 'Cuse's seventh-straight game against a ranked opponent.
Syracuse collected 256 points in the poll this week, which Albany remained the unanimous No. 1 in with 440 points and all-22 first-place votes. Maryland (418), Denver (363), Yale (350) and Duke (327) round out the top-five.
'Cuse opponents are well represented in the poll this week, as a season-high 11 of the Orange's 13 regular season opponents are either ranked in the top-20 or receiving votes. SU has already faced No. 1 Albany, No. 5 Duke, No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 10 Rutgers, No. 12 Virginia and No. 15 Army, with games against No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 14 Cornell and North Carolina, Colgate and Navy, who are all receiving votes, looming.
Syracuse is also back in the top-10 of the Maverik Media Poll, with the Orange checking in at No. 10 this week. The Great Danes are also a unanimous No. 1 in the media poll, with Saturday's opponent Notre Dame checking in at No. 7.
The Orange and Fighting Irish will square off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, in a game set to be broadcast on ESPNU. General admission tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for youth (12 and under) for Notre Dame and $10 for adults and $5 for youth, for the four remaining home games after.
