Cook Named HS All-American

Syracuse commit Griffin Cook has been added to the Under Armour All-America Team, joining a long list of future Orange players to earn the accolade.
Cook, a local product of Jamesville-Dewitt, signed his National Letter of Intent to join the program in the fall.
The Under Armour All-America Teams are released in four waves throughout the high school season, with Cook making the second wave of additions. Through two waves, 22 players have been selected thus far. The 13th-annual All-America game will be played on June 30 at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland.
Nine current players on the Orange roster were named Under Armour All-Americans before playing at 'Cuse, with Syracuse having multiple honorees in each of the last-three seasons. Lucas Quinn, Tucker Dordevic and Owen Seebold were honorees last season. Jamie Trimboli, Tyson Bomberry, Nick Mellen, Nate Solomon, Sam Romano and Bradley Voigt also received the honor prior to their time at Syracuse.
Syracuse returns to action on Saturday, hosting Navy for Military Appreciation Day in the Carrier Dome. Faceoff is scheduled for 2 p.m., with the game to be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
