
Orange Face Bulls In December 18 Dome Date

Buffalo, a 2018 NCAA Tournament team, is scheduled to return to the Dome for the second straight year, this time in a December 18 matchup against Syracuse.
Last year's pairing was one of the most exciting contests of the season for both clubs. Syracuse emerged with an 81-74 triumph in an encounter that featured 10 lead changes.
Syracuse has a 28-5 advantage in the series with Buffalo and the Orange have captured the most recent 18 matchups. Buffalo's last triumph in the pairing was a 63-61 decision on January 15, 1963.
Nate Oats enters his fourth season as head coach at Buffalo. Oats guided the Bulls to a school-record 27 victories and the programs third NCAA Tournament berth in four seasons. Buffalo captured the Mid-American Conference Tournament title and upset fourth-seed Arizona in the NCAA Tournament, 89-68, before losing to Kentucky, 95-75.
Guard CJ Massinburg (17.0 ppg., 7.3 rpg.) and forward Nick Perkins (16.2 ppg., 6.0 rpg.) each earned first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors last year. They are preparing for their senior seasons at Buffalo.

Syracuse was 23-14 and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 before a loss to Duke ended its 2017-18 campaign.
Coach Jim Boeheim, who ranks second in career wins among Division I mentors, is preparing for his 43rd season as Syracuse head coach.
