SYRACUSE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure, a 2018 NCAA Tournament participant, is back on the Syracuse schedule this year. The Orange will host the Bonnies on Saturday, Dec. 29, in the Dome.
St. Bonaventure snapped a 14-game losing streak to the Orange by defeating Syracuse last winter, 60-57 in overtime. The Orange own a 24-3 advantage in the series that dates back to the 1923-24 campaign.
The Bonnies defeated UCLA and lost to Florida in the NCAA Tournament in March, and finished with a 26-8 overall record. Guards Jaylen Adams (19.1 ppg.) and Matt Mobley (18.1 ppg.) are key losses from that club but Coach Mark Schmidt does have senior forward Courtney Stockard (133 ppg., 6.3 rpg.) back.
Syracuse was 23-14 and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 before a loss to Duke ended its 2017-18 campaign. Coach Jim Boeheim, who ranks second in career wins among Division I mentors, is preparing for his 43rd season as Syracuse head coach.
Syracuse season tickets start at $250 and are available for sale on-line (Cuse.com/tickets), by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Limited Premium Courtside and Executive Club seats are still available and can be purchased by contacting a sales representative at 1-888-DOME-TIX.
