Red Wolves Added To Orange Hoop Slate

Arkansas State will make its first appearance on the Syracuse men's basketball schedule when the Red Wolves visit the Dome on Saturday, December 22, 2018.
The pairing completes the non-conference portion of Syracuse's schedule.
Arkansas State was 11-21 a season ago. First-year head coach Mike Balado, a former assistant at Louisville, guided a squad that set a school standard for season 3-pointers (236). The Red Wolves return two of their top four scorers – senior guards Ty Cockfield (14.9 ppg.) and Grantham Gillard (8.7 ppg.).
Syracuse was 23-14 and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 before a loss to Duke ended its 2017-18 campaign. Hall of Fame Coach Jim Boeheim, who ranks second in career wins among Division I mentors, is preparing for his 43rd season as Syracuse head coach.
