Orange Overseas: Alex Lamontagne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A former Syracuse women's soccer standout is shining overseas.
Alex Lamontagne, who suited up for the Orange from 2014-17 and currently plays for FC Fleury 91 in Fleury-Mérogis, France, recorded the first assist of her professional career in a 1-0 win against Montpellier HSC Saturday, Sept. 15. She has played in all three of the team's matches, with two starts.
The win moved Lamotagne and her squad up to fourth place in Division 1 Féminine, France's highest women's soccer division, with an overall record of 2-1-0. FC Fleury 91 plays third-place Bordeaux Saturday, Sept. 22, with an opportunity to continue their climb up the standings.
Lamontagne was a four-year letterwinner for the Orange and finished her collegiate career with 28 total points (10 goals, eight assists). She graduated from Syracuse's David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamic in 2018.
