SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse returns to the Carrier Dome to face longtime-rival Pittsburgh on Saturday, Jan. 19. Tip time is set for 2 p.m. Both teams are coming off big wins on Monday as the Orange upset No. 1 Duke, while the Panthers knocked off No. 11 Florida State.

CAMPING WORLD BOWL CHAMPS CELEBRATION
Syracuse will honor the football squad after its win in the Camping World Bowl, 34-18 over West Virginia, during a halftime presentation. In addition, a select group of players will be signing autographs in the backcourt when the gates open. Fans can choose their seats for the 2019 campaign during a Select-A-Seat event taking place prior to tipoff.

ORANGE UPDATE
The Orange are coming off their biggest win of the season – a 95-91 overtime win at No. 1 Duke. The Blue Devils started off strong but Syracuse was able to go on a 12-2 run and get back into the game. Elijah Hughes hit a near full-court buzzer beater to keep the Orange within one point of Duke at halftime, 48-49.

The second half was back and forth and the game went into overtime tied at 85. The Orange led the entire overtime and was able to come away with the victory.

In the win, five Syracuse players scored double digits, including Tyus Battle, who led the team with a season-high 32 points. Pascal Chukwu also had a big night, posting his career-high 18 rebounds to go along with 10 points for his second double-double of the year. The victory improved Syracuse's record to 12-5, including 3-1 in the ACC.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
The Panthers beat No. 11 Florida State, 75-62, in their last game, bringing their record to 12-5 including 2-2 in ACC play. Freshman guard, Trey McGowens scored 30 points and had five steals in the victory.

Pittsburg is led by three freshman: McGowens, Xavier Johnson, and Au'Diese Toney. Johnson leads the team in points (17.1) and assists (4.7), while McGowens and Toney are scoring 14.4 points and 10.0 points per game, respectively.

Jeff Capel is in his first season at the helm of the Pittsburgh program. Previously, the Duke graduate had head-coaching stints at VCU and Oklahoma.

THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Pitt, 68-45. The Orange swept the season series last season, posting a 59-45 win in the Carrier Dome and a 60-55 victory at the Petersen Events Center. In the game in Pittsburgh, Bourama Sidibe recorded 18 points and 16 rebound for his first career double-double.
PRE-GAME PREPARATIONS
In anticipation of a large crowd, the halftime celebration of the Orange football team and potential snowfall, fans are encouraged to arrive early. to the game to limit traffic congestion and for the walk to the Dome. Carrier Dome gates A, B and C will open at noon, while the remaining gates will open at 12:30 p.m. Shuttle bus service begins at noon for fans parking at Manley and Skytop lots.

The University is working with the Syracuse Police Department, New York State Department of Transportation, Syracuse Department of Public Works, and University Physical Plant snow removal staff to assist with travel to and from the game. All fans are reminded to observe parking restrictions on side streets, including the odd-even parking restrictions to allow for snow removal during the game.
