The Syracuse men's lacrosse team will begin 2019 ranked in the top-10 of the Nike/US Lacrosse Top-20, with scheduled contests against five of the other top-nine as well.
'Cuse, which boasts its most experienced returning unit in recent memory, was ranked No. 10 in the poll. Defending NCAA Champion Yale is the poll's preseason favorite. In addition to five games against the preseason top-eight, 10 of the Orange's regular season opponents are receiving votes in the first poll.
No. 2 Duke, No. 4 Cornell, No. 5 Virginia, No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 14 Rutgers, No. 17 Albany and RV Army West Point will all visit the Dome in 2019, while Syracuse will hit the road to face No. 8 Notre Dame, No. 12 North Carolina and RV Navy.
Losing just two starters off the 2018 squad which claimed the ACC Regular Season Championship for the second year in a row, the entire Orange starting defense and first midfield line return, plus four of the top-five players who saw the most action on attack. Syracuse also boasts three Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans in Nick Mellen, Brett Kennedy and Jamie Trimboli.
2019 Syracuse men's lacrosse tickets are now on sale. At just $65 for adults and $35 for youth (12 and under) fans can purchase season tickets. Season tickets are in the reserved section behind the Orange bench and come with other benefits during the season which are exclusive to season ticket holders.
Individual game tickets are also available at $15 for adults and $10 for youth. 'Cuse gets its 2019 season underway on Feb. 8 vs. Colgate. Fans should visit Cuse.com/Tickets to be part of all the action.
