White Edges Orange, 60-53

Sophomore guard Buddy Boeheim had a game-high 17 points to lead the White Team past the Orange squad, 60-53.
The public scrimmage at the Dome ended a busy Friday for the men's basketball program.
Freshman forward Quincy Guerrier had 15 points, junior center Bourama Sidibe 10 and sophomore guard Jalen Carey had eight for the White Team. Sophomore forward Robert Braswell contributed seven points and junior guard Howard Washington added a basket. The White team also included graduate student Shaun Belbey and sophomore Brendan Paul.
The Orange squad trailed 29-19 at the half but came all the way back to tie the contest at 48-48 before falling short. Redshirt junior Elijah Hughes and junior forward Marek Dolezaj each had 11 points for the Orange. Freshman guard Brycen Goodine had 10 points and rookie backcourt mate Joseph Girard III had nine. Freshman center Jesse Edwards also had nine points. The Orange team also included juniors Nick Giancola and Chris LaValle.
The evening also included some individual competition prior to the scrimmage.
The 3-point competition was won by Goodine, who converted 12-of-15 shots. He edged out Boeheim (10/15), Braswell (8/15) and Girard (7/15). Each player took three shots from five different spots on the court.
A timed skills competition featured two passes and a layup, dribbling up the sideline through cones and finishing with a made 3-point shot. Carey captured the skills event.
