Incoming Syracuse freshmen Joseph Girard III and Brycen Goodine have been selected to play in the 46th Annual Capital Classic at Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington D.C. on Saturday, April 27, at 3:00 p.m. Â Â

Girard III, the Class B Player of the Year in New York, helped Glens Falls High School to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Class B Championship this past season. A 6-2, 180 guard, Girard finished his career as the state's all-time leading scorer with 4,329 points.

Goodine, a 6-4, 170 guard, starred on the St. Andrew's School team in Barrington, R.I. He averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists while leading St. Andrew's to the 2019 New England Preparatory School (NEPSAC) Class AA Championship. Goodine was named NEPSAC Tournament most valuable player.
