Syracuse will host Carleton University (Canada) in an exhibition game on Tuesday, October 29, in the Dome.
Â
The Orange and the Ravens met in an exhibition outing on November 2, 2014, a contest claimed by the Orange, 76-88. A year earlier, on August 23, 2013, Syracuse played at Carleton as part of a three-game exhibition-game swing through Canada. Syracuse emerged a winner in that game, 69-65.
Â
Carleton features first-year head coach Taffe Charles, who is coming off a 12-year tenure as head women's coach for the Ravens. He replaces long-time Carleton mentor Dave Smart, who was named Director, Basketball Operations, at the school. Carleton claimed 14 national titles during Smart's time at the helm.
Â
The Ravens won the program's 14th crown by defeating defending champion Calgary in March, 83-49.
Â
Syracuse was 20-14 and claimed a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year. Jim Boeheim, who ranks second in career wins among Division I mentors, is now preparing for his 44th season as head coach at his alma mater.
