Orange Versus Eagles On December 28

Syracuse men's basketball has scheduled Niagara, a pairing that will bring former Le Moyne Coach Patrick Beilein back to the area in his new role as coach of the Purple Eagles. The game is scheduled for Saturday, December 28, in the Dome.

Series Notes

Syracuse has a 53-28 advantage in the all-time series with Niagara.
The Orange have won the last eight pairings with the Eagles.
The series dates to the 1909-10 season.
Syracuse captured the most recent matchup, a 95-69 victory in the Dome on December 30, 2000.
Beilein's staff includes former Syracuse quarterback Greg Paulus, a product of Christian Brothers Academy who played basketball at Duke before playing one year of football with the Orange.

Beilein, the son of Cleveland Cavalier Coach John Beilein was a two-time Northeast 10 Conference Coach of the Year at LeMoyne. The Dolphins earned three NCAA Division II Tournament invitations during Beilein's tenure. Niagara was 13-19 a year ago.

Syracuse was 20-14 and claimed a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year in 2018-19. Redshirt junior Elijah Hughes (13.7 ppg.) is a returning starter for the Orange.
