
Three Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse has been recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for its work in the classroom during the 2018-19 academic year. Senior Bri Stahrr, junior Lila Nazarian and redshirt junior Cara Quimby have been named to the IWLCA Division I Honor Roll, while the Orange were one of 312 schools across all divisions named an IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad.

Stahrr played in nine games, making one start. She posted 11 saves throughout the season. The senior had her best game in an 18-5 win against Coastal Carolina, making three saves. Stahrr was a Remembrance Scholar as well as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Academic Honor Roll. She majored in English and textual studies and English education.

Nazarian made an appearance in 15 games and started one contest. She helped the Orange hold their opponents to single digits six times. The rising senior was a member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll both semesters. Nazarian is majoring in political science and citizenship and civic engagement.

Quimby played in all 21 games for the Orange in 2019. She scored eight goals and posted one assist. Quimby recorded two or more points in a game four times. Two of her goals came in Syracuse's 10-9 win over No. 12 Notre Dame. The health and exercise science major was a member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll both semesters.

Student-athletes who are juniors, seniors or graduate students and have earned a 3.50 cumulative GPA are eligible for the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. In addition, schools that post a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year qualify for the Academic Honor Squads list.
