Syracuse Sets Record for New Football Season Ticket Sales
8/23/2019 11:20:00 AM | Football
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – With eight days until the start of Orange football, excitement for the upcoming season has reached a fever pitch. More than 9,000 new season tickets have been sold for 2019, eclipsing Syracuse's previous record of 8,700 sold ahead of the 1992 campaign. Renewals of current season tickets have also been strong at 95 percent.
Â
Less than 900 season tickets remain, and with single-game tickets for the home opener on Sept. 14 versus Clemson sold out, the only way to guarantee a seat to watch the Orange and Tigers is through the purchase of a season ticket.
Â
The allotment of tickets in the student section has been exhausted. Syracuse University students are encouraged to continue purchasing the limited number of Student Passes available. The remaining Student Passes do not include Clemson, but feature the balance of the home football schedule, as well as the entire men's basketball schedule. They also include a guest pass for the men's basketball opener on Nov. 6 against Virginia and entry into a lottery for an assigned seat outside the student section for the Clemson football game. Â
Â
Led by fourth-year head coach Dino Babers, Syracuse returns 17 starters from last year's 10-3 squad. The Orange are ranked No. 22 in both polls to start the year and open the season at Liberty on Saturday, Aug. 31.
Â
Season and single-game tickets are available now online (Cuse.com/tickets), by phone (888-DOME-TIX) and in person at the Dome Box Office located in the Ensley Athletic Center. Season tickets start at $125.
