Team Up With Syracuse Athletics to Impact #44HoursofChange
10/21/2020 3:25:00 PM | General
Student-athletes at Syracuse University are making a difference within their community through #44HoursofChange. Every community member is invited to join the cause.
Â
The #44HoursofChange fundraising initiative, created and led by Syracuse University's Diversity and Inclusion Student-Athlete Board (DISAB), will benefit Blessings in a Backpack, an organization that mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry. Because Syracuse student-athletes understand the importance of nutrition, they chose to help address this issue which impacts more than 44% of children in our city and has been magnified by COVID-19.
Â
All donations to #44HoursofChange, which will directly help children in the City of Syracuse, are impactful.
Â
- $25 provides 7 hunger-free weekends
- $50 provides 14 hunger-free weekends
- $100 provides 29 hunger-free weekends
- $130 provides hunger-free weekends for a year
Â
The Syracuse University student-athlete #44HoursofChange fundraiser will premiere on Thursday, October 22nd and continue for 44 hours. There are two ways to participate – make a donation and/or spread the word about #44HoursofChange via social media and within the community. Use this link -- #44HoursofChange -- to donate.
