Syracuse closed out the 2020 season with three goals on Senior Day in a 5-3 loss to #10 Virginia (7-2-1 overall, 5-2-1 ACC).
Â
The Orange (1-7, 1-7) had their first game of the season with multiple scores and finished the year with five goals in their last three contests (Boston College, Miami, Virginia). Three goals is the most 'Cuse has scored in a game since August 29, 2019 against Siena (W, 3-0).
Â
FROM 'CUSE COACH NICKY ADAMS:
"Jenna Tivnan is one of the best players in the nation in the air. She is a weapon, and we have set specific plays to get her head on the ball. (Lindsey) Brick has been serving balls every day in practice so she can play them right on Jenna. Shannon (Aviza) got in there, and when the ball got past Jenna, Shannon did her job and put it in the back of the net for us. We have been working really hard on set pieces, and I'm glad we had some production from them."
