Boeheim, Dolezaj Join ACC Operation Basketball

Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim and senior forward Marek Dolezaj represented the Orange in the Atlantic Coast Conference's Operation Basketball on Thursday. Boeheim and Dolezaj joined the ACC Network for the second night of live programing in preparation for the upcoming season.
Boeheim, in his 45th year as head coach at his alma mater, was part of a coaches' panel that included colleagues Mike Brey from Notre Dame and NC State's Kevin Keatts. Boeheim enters the season ranked second in career wins and career games coached, trailing only Duke's Mike Krzyzewski.
Dolezaj, a native of Slovakia, has grown from a part-time performer to a key piece in the Orange lineup this winter. He is one of four returning starters for Syracuse.
The Orange are scheduled to open the 2020-21 campaign on Friday, November 27, at home against Bryant.
Syracuse University Athletics remains committed to doing everything it can to support and protect the health, safety and well-being of our student-athletes, our staff and the campus and Syracuse communities. All decisions will be science-based and informed by public health and guidance as provided by county, state and public health officials.
Â
If fans are permitted to attend games – in some capacity – Syracuse Athletics will announce plans for spectators to secure admission to the events. Fans will be required to sit in their socially-distanced seat locations and wear a face covering.
