SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse begins its 120th campaign when it welcomes Bryant to the Carrier Dome for its season opener on Friday, Nov. 27. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
The game will be televised on ACC Network and ACCN Extra. Fans can catch all the action on the Syracuse Sports Network from Learfield IMG College, including TK99 and ESPN Radio Syracuse locally.
Orange head coach Jim Boeheim begins his 45th season at the helm at his alma mater. Syracuse is 39-5 all-time in its home opener during his tenure. The 'Cuse returns four of its five starters from last season's squad that was 18-14 and had won its first ACC Tournament game before the national pandemic ended the college basketball season.
Junior Buddy Boeheim is one of three players who are back after averaging double digits in scoring last season. He led the squad with 97 3-pointers on his way to a 15.3 per game scoring average. Sophomore Joseph Girard III averaged 12.4 points per game and dished out a team-best 113 assists, while senior Marek Dolezaj added 10.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Senior Bourama Sidibe led the Orange's efforts on the boards in 2019-20, pulling down 7.6 rebounds per game.
Syracuse will be back on its home court on Thursday, Dec. 3 when it hosts Niagara at 7 p.m.
