CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Syracuse is back on the road for its ACC opener against Boston College on Saturday, Dec. 12. Tipoff at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill is set for 1 p.m.

The game will be televised on ESPNU and the ESPN app. Fans can also listen to all the action on the Syracuse Sports Network from Learfield IMG College, including TK99/105 locally.

ORANGE UPDATE
The Orange (3-1) had their three-game winning streak snapped in a 79-69 setback at No. 21/22 Rutgers in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday. Junior Alan Griffin led Syracuse with 20 points, while Quincy Guerrier added 18 points. Marek Dolezaj finished with 14 points to give the 'Cuse three double-digit scorers.

After a basket by Guerrier gave Syracuse a three-point lead with 5:38 to play, Rutgers used a 9-0 scoring run to take control of the game.

RICHMOND MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Freshman Kadary Richmond leads the ACC and is tied for 13th in the nation in steals, averaging 3.3 per game. As a team, the Orange rank 17th in the nation in steals per game (10.0).

The Brooklyn, N.Y. native is Syracuse's leader in steals (13) and assists (20) through the first four games of the season. In his last three games, Richmond has totaled 19 assists and 12 steals. He is averaging 9.7 points and 5.7 rebounds during the stretch.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Boston College (1-4) enters Saturday's game on a three-game losing streak. The Eagles lost at Minnesota, 85-80 in overtime, in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday.

Wynston Tabbs leads a group of four players who average double figures in scoring, tallying 17.2 points per game. Steffon Mitchell is the Eagles' leader in rebounds (34) and steals (10).

Jim Christian is in his sixth season at the helm of the Boston College program. Previously, he served as head coach at Ohio, TCU and Kent State.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse and Boston College are no strangers on the court as Saturday's game is the 78th all-time meeting between the two schools. The Orange have won the past four contests against the Eagles, including an 84-71 victory in Conte Forum last March. Elijah Hughes led all scorers with 28 points, while Buddy Boeheim finished with 21 points.
