PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Syracuse heads on the road to face long-time foe Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The game will be televised on the ACC Network. The contest will also be streamed on ACC Network Extra, but fans can only watch the stream if their cable provider carries the ACC Network. Fans unsure if their provider carries ACCN are strongly encouraged to visit GetACCN.com. Fans can also listen to all the action on the Syracuse Sports Network from Learfield IMG College, including TK99 and ESPN Syracuse locally.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse defeated Georgia Tech on Saturday, 79-72, in the Carrier Dome. Redshirt junior Elijah Hughes and junior Marek Dolezaj led the Orange offense with 20 points each. Hughes also dished out a team-high seven assists and grabbed seven rebounds.

Hughes still leads the ACC in scoring, averaging 18.6 per game. Sophomore Buddy Boeheim is averaging 3.3 3-point field goals per game, which leads the ACC and is 11th in the country, while freshman Joseph Girard III leads the ACC and is eighth in the nation in free-throw percentage (.906).

The Orange improved their record to 15-12, including 8-8 in ACC play. Syracuse enters Wednesday's game in a three-way tie for fifth place in the ACC.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Pittsburgh has lost its last four games, including a 59-56 loss to Virginia on Saturday. The Panthers record has fallen to 15-13 overall and 6-11 in conference play.

Pittsburgh has three players averaging double digits in scoring. Justin Champagnie averages 12.3 ppg. and also leads the team in rebounds, with 7.1 rpg. Xavier Johnson leads the team in assists with 143 on the season and also averages 11.9 ppg. Trey McGowens averages 12.0 ppg and leads the team in steals with 52.

Jeff Capel is in his second season at the helm of the Pitt program. The Duke graduate previously served as head coach at VCU and Oklahoma.

The Orange lead the all-time series against Pittsburgh, 72-45, including a 69-61 win earlier this season. The two squads faced off in the Dome in January and Buddy Boeheim led both teams in scoring with 21 points. Boeheim shot 50 percent (4-of-8) from downtown. Marek Dolezaj also had a big night with 17 points and seven rebounds. He was also a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line.
