Another seven-assist day – his second of the season – in Syracuse's 15-9 win over Johns Hopkins earned Stephen Rehfuss ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Only three times this century (since '00) has a player posted seven-or-more assists in a game and Rehfuss is responsible for two of those three in the last-five weeks. He helped 'Cuse jump out to a 10-4 halftime lead by assisting on six first-half goals.
Rehfuss is the third Syracuse player to earn ACC weekly honors this year, joining Chase Scanlan (2/11) and Drake Porter (2/25). Duke netminder Turner Uppgren was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week this week.
Syracuse will close the first half of its regular season on the road Saturday when the team faces Rutgers.
